On Tuesday 30 July 48 teams headed to Somerville Recreation Centre to compete in the SIS Badminton Championships.
The standard of play was outstanding. The tension rose as the teams moved to the knock out stage of the tournament. Eventually, the team of Xavier & Mielle from SFX took out the title in Division A while Jethro & Arnav from SMBG were victorious in Division B. We are excited that next year, due to its popularity, Badminton will be added to the Weekly Sport schedule across all year levels.
