After a superb performance throughout the rounds and Semi Finals, there was fierce competition and highly energised persuasion taking place at the SIS Debating Finals on 17th September.
Woodleigh and St. Margaret’s Berwick Grammar dominated the finals - Woodleigh taking home the Senior shield with a narrow win over St. Margaret's Officer, debating ‘crime prevention’. In the Intermediate level St. Margaret's were extremely strong, with the boys' Officer team defeating the girls from Berwick over the issue of travel for medical tourism.
It was St. Margaret's girls who achieved success in the Junior division however, defeating Woodleigh with a heated debate over the requirement to give blood every year.
A thrilling end to a fantastic competition which saw 20 SIS schools take part.
